SERC hosts Entrepreneurship Masterclass

Bangor and Downpatrick students took part in an Entrepreneurship Masterclass in Bangor where they developed valuable business skills and gained an insight into starting their own business.

Renowned image consultant, Billy Dixon who has worked with many famous names in sport and politics, inspired the students to think positively and project themselves professionally.

Local entrepreneur Fiona Norman shared her experiences in starting up her market research company. Fiona, from Bangor, had been made redundant and took the opportunity to go it herself and hasn’t looked it back.

Students worked in teams to develop a plan for a new business. Four were selected to pitch their ideas to the group who then voted for their favourite. A team from performing arts won with their concept to revolutionise clothing retail. So congratulations to them!
