Young entrepreneur Ben Best from Tree of Knowledge Ireland led a fun and interactive workshop for a group of SERC students in Lisburn to get them thinking about enterprise
Students from Construction, Travel and Tourism, Business Management, Beauty Therapy and Hairdressing took part in the activities. They were encouraged to focus on the positives, celebrate what they do well, consider what motivates them and apply this to opportunities in enterprise.
Polo mints on thread, plasticine, alarm clocks, and tangled ropes were some of the weird and wonderful objects used in the challenges!
Ben also shared his own experiences of starting his business, and particularly the fear of putting your idea out there to show students that it can be achieved.
